Sunsetting Cooltopia & $MILK

As many of you may have heard, we recently announced our decision to sunset our Cooltopia game and its associated token, $MILK. This decision allows us to prioritize resources and energy toward delivering enhanced gaming experiences with our strategic partnerships. Cooltopia and $MILK were introduced in early 2022 as part of the Cool Cats ecosystem, with a specific focus on Cool Pets questing, and later cat gathering and boss battles. As we continue to work towards building Cool Cats into a global character and storytelling brand, it is imperative that we align our company efforts to support this vision holistically.

Farewell Cooltopia

While the shutdown of Cooltopia and $MILK will bring an end to key features in our current ecosystem, our decision to redirect efforts towards innovative gaming experiences will open new opportunities for greater collaborations and developments that better align with our overall mission to make Cool Cats a leading entertainment brand that makes people smile. 

Our goal is to create gaming experiences that are fun, easy to play, and reflect our brand’s intellectual property (IP) and art in an authentic way. As a result, Cooltopia access through our official Cool Cats website will be shut down and active $MILK generation will be discontinued starting at 12PM EST on July 27, 2023.

What About Items?

To accommodate this transition, existing Cooltopia items from pet questing, cat gathering, and boss battles will hold future utility in our upcoming avatar system. Further details about item utility and our final $MILK burn event will be released in the coming weeks. In the meantime, expect a variety of physical and digital rewards to be announced for all who take part in spending their remaining $MILK.

Changes to the Meowpad

At noon eastern time, on July 27, 2023, the Meowpad on our official website will be updated to reflect the following changes:

• Removal of pet questing, cat gathering, and boss battles
• Cost of Pet Supply Crates will increase from 4.5k $MILK to 25k $MILK 
• Fast Hatch (random) in the Nursery will cost 0 $MILK 
• Fast Hatch (element) in the Nursery will cost 25k $MILK
